7.0 Proximity and Land Requirements:

7.1Air Rights:

In order for the HPR System to be cost effective, it must be constructed mostly above existing local, state and federal roadways where air rights may be available. Current railroad right of ways may also be suitable for HPR construction.

7.2Earthwork:

As all electrical power wires and electrical components will be attached to the underside of the Main Grid Rails and Approach/Departure Rails, except for Grid Columns (see Section 9.2, AGrid Columns and Footings, Rail Attachments@) there will be little need for substantial earthwork or underground utilities. The expense of water drainage and retention areas is not a major factor in Grid development.
